LapTop or Desktop for VR

Hello Guys

im thinking to buy a PC /Laptop to use it for my work, im an architect and i want a powerful machine.
i also want to use it for VR in architecture
the thing is that i dont have the knowledge of an IT guy about PCs etc so i dont know what kind of configurations i need so i can run 3d programs, renders, VR and Games of course when i have time

could you suggest some please

ps - by the way im using Sketch Up for 3d modeling, Vray for renders and im planning to have also eyecad and unreal engine 4

If you have the space for it and dont plan on needing a device such as a desktop when moving around, then you should go for a desktop since generally they’re a lot more powerful and better value for your money. Its mostly a personal choice when it comes to choosing either laptop or desktop.
