im needing a new laptop for work/uni and a bit of gaming. Need it to be able to run autocad/revit/3d modeling software.

i think i have a setup but im unsure on the processor, on a few threads ive searched it looks like i'd be better off with a Quadcore?

The specification you have selected is adequate for gaming and will be more than enough for your university work. You've already selected a quad core processor here - the 2630QM represents good value whilst having 4 cores to make multi-tasking faster.
