Laptop Toshiba C50-A-181 -- Black screen

Hi there,
Does anyone have experience with a Laptop Toshiba Satellite C50-A-181 with a black screen?
Also no signal on both the VGA and HDMI port.
While the laptop is booted up, Power / Bat is ON, Power is ON and Wifi is ON and the fan is running.
Fn + F4 (screen on / off) no result.
The battery has been taken out and put back in.
I don't feel like a faulty battery can cause a black screen while the power supply is connected.
But perhaps someone with a different experience?
I'm afraid the motherboard has gone to the moon.
Any thoughts are more than welcome.
