laptop won't turn on anymore

Hi guys,

I have had a recoil laptop since February this year that I got directly from pcs

I used it yesterday without any issues.

I tried to turn it on today but it won't turn on

I connected the charger and I still get the charging light

When I press the power button I notice that occasionally the green light over the touch pad blinks.

I have not had this issue before.

I have not updated windows, under volted or touched the bios.

Please let me know if I am missing something obvious

Was looking forward to gaming a little to get some respite from work 😞

So it doesn't start on battery alone, and it doesn't start on battery and with the charger plugged in. If you can remove the battery then do so, plug in the charger and see whether it boots without the battery. If it does then you likely have a dead battery. If it doesn't boot then it's something more serious and you'll need to phone PCS. Since it's still under warranty they will fix it.

Many thanks for your advice.

It now works lol. I did not remove the battery.

I kept it plugged in for a while and came back to it. I think I somehow discharged the battery to zero and it would not turn on even with the charger. This is odd because always use it pugged in

Well it works now 😀

Thanks once again for taking the time to give advice. Hopefully it continues to work

May be worth installing hwmonitor which has a battery health detector which will show the wear on the battery amongst other things, just check it’s in good condition.

Sometimes laptops are accidentally sent out with dud batteries.

And also....if the battery was dead flat the charger might not have had enough power to charge the battery and run the laptop.

Do keep a close eye on it though. Checking the wear level as suggested is a good idea too. Your battery may be flaky.
