Led Keyboard Setting Issue

A couple of days ago the LED's stopped working on my Vortex IX. I've tried my best to correct assuming it's a software issue not hardware related but think I've done all I can. Before I raise a ticket with PCS just wondered if anyone has any idea on how to fix.

I've uninstalled all software.. several times and tried using the software from PCS downloads and also the control centre from Clevo. I've also tried uninstalling the keyboard from device manager. Sometimes It just says module not supported.. sometimes it shows the wrong keyboard layout. Currently, it all looks ok on screen but still no lights on the keyboard. My only thought is that despite uninstalling the is something left behind.. possibly a registry key which is causing this issue. Either that or there is a hardware failure.

Any suggestions appreciated!

And it's off again.

Any thoughts on whether this is software or hardware related?

Have you opened the back / checked the keyboard connections at all in case ones come loose?

That sounds very much like hardware to me. Quite possibly a lose connector as has been suggested.

I think you are right. It's not the easiest case to open.. I'll leave it until i have some free time to pop it open.

Thanks

Finally fixed the keyboard. Seems the socket the ribbon is connected to is faulty. I've managed to get it fixed for now but guess I'll have to raise a return when things get back to a more normal state.

Thanks for the help.
