LED Screen Burn

Hi,

I got some screen issues which looks like, LED burns/ghosting, I would like some advice and solutions. Here are some brief points.
  • I use the laptop screen as a secondary screen, using Dell monitor (LCD, no issues) as the main display.
  • I usually keep Teams window open with Dark mode on that Laptop screen
  • I tried some videos, which worsened the burn to horizontal lines, though the last video helped remove the Teams buttons that were stuck/burnt there.
  • Specs at the end! Bought in Aug 2021, ~2 years
  1. Should keep trying those YT videos and other videos to help with horizontal lines, or is there alternative solution?
Many thanks.
Berek

Ooo dear, that looks like it's not been allowed to sleep?

It's not an oled screen so thise fixes aren't relevant. That's a defective screen I think, you can see pixel rows in the top portion on yhe lock screen. The fact its burnt in on bios screen shows its a hardware issue.

I don't think you'll have any luck trying to correct that, that panels had it, would suggest a replacement panel.

Thanks for your insight.

Yes, it got worse, when I recently tried to put it to sleep, but was not fully sleep, the screen would turn off but the fan turns on occasionally. This happens sometimes whenever I try to put it to sleep... not sure what processes prevent it from fully sleeping.

Other than that, I usually shutdown and I have used this setup since day one.

I have only noticed the issue earlier this year, where buttons like the Start Menu, would get stuck and when moved due to new app launching, the shadow copy would be seen. That would refresh/disappear after an hour or something though.

I will try to contact PCS, to see my options.

Thanks

  • Attaching this for Tech Support. Is not refreshing at all now! Thus, cannot see changes on the screen, except the burns/ghosts.
  • Second image, shows where Win 10 is unable to switch back on the display, and defaults back to the Monitor screen/secondary.
