I plan on using Linux Mint 18 (my favorite opperating system) on this computer. However I sometimes like to play games and have some windows specific software I want to use (YoYo games gamemaker). I also make webpages and want to use Windows edge to check they are formating correctly.
Rather than Duel boot I wish to use a Kernel Virtual machine for windows 10. I intend to use a VGA passthrough to give me Accelerated Graphics on this Host system.
This is the spec I plan to use.
The NVIDIA GEFORCE 710 GPU is for the Linux Host OS.
The NVIDIA EVGA GEFORCE GTX 1070 is for the Windows 10 Guest OS
I plan to put the Linux OS on the SSD and the Windows Virtual drive file on the HDD.
The sound card was selected for it's relatively good ALSA Compatibility.
CPU and Motherboard were selected because (I believe) they support the VGA Passthrough.

I also looked at this guide which uses a Xen Hypervisor:
but the hardware requirements to do this using NVIDIA cards seemed vey high. It may be cheaper using ATI, I havn't checked but I doubt it.
This will be my first time attempting to use Accelerated Graphics in a Virtual Machine so any tips are welcome.
