Here is my quick benchmark for my new recoil 17" laptop. First 2 is without liquid cooling and second is with.
My first impressions of this laptop are as follows. The display is slightly smaller than my old laptop. I think I had a 17.3" before and you notice a slight difference. I don't think it will matter though. The aspect ratio is a bit off as well as I think its 16.10 instead of 16.9. ITs not a massive issue but you do notice it.
I have only briefly played MW2 and to be honest I didn't think I would see any difference. I had a 2080 laptop and it was quite happy running MW2. I noticed quite a big increase in quality with new laptop and I was really surprised. My old one was 60hz and this is 240hz and it definatly feels smoother. I also noticed it was alot sharper. I dont fully understand why yet. The only thing I can think of at the moment is I was using balanced DLSS with my 2080 and this I used quality. My frames were about 240 with the 4090 and were 60 with the 2080 but I think it was a refresh rate cap.
The other thing I want to point out is the liquid cooler water pipes are really short. I play with my laptop on my lap and not on a table so I have had to put the cooler to the side of the laptop. I was lucky it fit tbh. I think longer pipes would be much better (maybe 4x longer) so the cooler is well out of the way. In terms of sound, it is quite noisy. I would say just as noisy as the standard fans. No fan on, I was getting 30db, fan on with no load 40db and loaded up it was 50db. Without the liquid cooler on the noise starts at 30db and then increases to 55 db as the load increases. So I guess technically it is quieter and it is likely I am getting a little extra cooling when the liquid cooler is off as there is still liquid in the laptop that will take time to bring upto temperature.
The first 2 images below show the results for timespy with no cooling (but water in the case) This water probably provided a little bit of extra cooling. The second 2 images are with cooling enabled. About 3% faster which is nothing to write home about. The temperatures are 15 degrees cooler which is significant.
