What are your intended uses? If it is a gaming machine 16GB RAM is more than enough, plus it is a simple upgrade if you ever need more and, as others have pointed out, RAM is very expensive at the moment. Drop the Seagate Hybrid, you have a good m2 SSD which will do all the hard work loading the OS, main software etc, the hybrid only have a small SSD cache and after that are standard HDDs, you would not ice any difference from the SSD part so a normal 7200rpm SATA HDD will be as good and cheaper.

Not sure of the price difference between the Ryzen and the new 8th gen Intel CPUs but worth checking out. Will leave rest to others as am a laptop user so cannot really comment on cases, cooling etc.

For gaming, as Stephen said, the Intel will be better and probably more future proof.

Do you really want the water cooled for the looks? It is not incredibly easy to upgrade graphics cards in a custom water system. You will likely need a new water block and the connectors may not line up. You can get a decent AIO for the CPU and then get your own hybrid 1080ti to fit. You will achieve very similar temperatures for a cheaper price.

There are lot of ways to shave off £ without meaningfully affecting performance - and possibly improving performance overall as well.

As above, what are you going to use the PC for exactly?

If gaming is involved, what monitor are you pairing this with (resolution and refresh rate)?

If you swapped to an Intel 8700K and a ROG Hero X - with the same spec you're looking at £2,850.00 inc. VAT - that's some decent money shaved off already. If you went down the 2133Mhz route at 32gb then that's £2819, or even 16gb 3000 = £2704 or 16gb 2133 = £2676.

That system should keep you gaming for 3-4 years. However, as pointed out above upgrading a liquid system is something you'd probably have to get PCS to do for you. A Corsair or Coolermaster AIO would also be very good.

Fast RAM can have big returns in some games:

But totally agree that 16gb is more than enough.

Would really help to give more detailed feedback if we could hear from the OP, so hopefully they'll get the chance to drop by the topic and loop us in. :)

Thanks for all of your feedback (been at work)

the main reason for me wanting watercooled is the location of where my pc is, not brilliant airflow being a bit of a problem.
as for the recommendations on ram, thought about that today and i will swap it to 2 8gb sticks thanks though :)
I will change the hard-drive for something cheaper also

I am using the computer for gaming its what i spend ages on, was looking for it to run the new red dead redemption at over 60 fps

My monitor is https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B013YIR5WU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Questions,

what would you guys say is better intel cpu or the ryzen?
do you think i can keep it quiet without water cooling?
would you change the cpu or gpu if it was you?

Thanks again for all your help looking forward to hear more!

The i7 8700k is the better performer for gaming:

There's no merit for gaming to the Barracuda Pro HDDs, certainly not proportionate to the high cost.

Your monitor is 1080p, for which a GTX 1080 is far more than enough.

For a pretty quiet air-cooled system, something like:

Try making your Liquid Series spec again, looks as though the prices have been altered :)
