Watching a working man on amazon prime, and at just before 35 minutes, one of those ugly tesla cybertrucks drives through the scene

Just bringing this one back up as it's currently quite big news.

The biggest thing for me is that Rick Moranis is signed! Such a shame that he had to leave the spotlight all those years ago, but an absolute legend for doing so with the circumstances.

Hopefully it's as good as we can imagine, and it's not too stifled with the modern offended-by-everything-ness. They've got the tools and the talent, that's for sure :D

What happened here? I totally missed this.

Little quote here on it:

My wife died at the height of my fame. I quit Hollywood to raise my kids and have no regrets.
Rick Moranis married costume designer Ann Belsky in 1986, and together they built a quiet life away from the Hollywood spotlight, raising two children. But tragedy struck when Ann passed away from cancer in 1991, leaving Rick a widower and a single father.
At the height of his fame, with blockbuster roles in Ghostbusters, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, and Spaceballs, Moranis made a decision that stunned Hollywood. In 1997, he stepped away from acting almost entirely not because he had to, but because he wanted to be there for his children.
The spotlight faded, but his love for his family never did. When asked about leaving his career behind, he didn’t express regret or longing for the fame he once had. Instead, he simply said, "I have absolutely no regrets whatsoever. My life is wonderful."
Rick Moranis became one of the rare celebrities who chose family over fame. And in doing so, he became a quiet hero—not on the big screen, but in the everyday moments that mattered most.

Very sad, but utter respect to him, doesn’t sound like it was a hard decision for him to make which shows he had his priorities exactly right

Exactly that. Complete measure of the man and I think everyone has respected him for it, and respected his privacy since.

Deservedly so, his name being mentioned is causing a stir. I don't know how they will do this movie justice, but if they do it could be a real movie moment.

Just finished binging all 3 equaliser films, brilliant series, denzle Washington is great as McCall

Loved the 3 of them, granted the 3rd a little less so. The 1st one was proper McCall for me. A different spin as I felt the original McCall was a bit more posh, but the Denzel version felt realistic for the character background..... just wanting a simple life after more than a lifetimes worth of carnage.

Continued on the theme over the next couple, for the most part, but the feats got quite grand and he was a bit too blasé.

Watching The Genius Game..... I've been quite enjoying it (bit of fluff in between the games but liveable).

And then!!!....
They play a game of betting diamonds in teams. Each team has equal diamonds (30). There are 5 rounds. 2 Rounds one team aims high and wins the first 2 rounds. 3rd round, they know the other team have more diamonds as they are told the losing tally. Yet..... they decide to bet all their diamonds. How on earth is that genius? Where is the logic there? I genuinely feel that the producers should have cut that particular game (they always have cuff) so that they didn't look like complete and utter idiots. They had 12 diamonds left in total with 3 rounds to go...... 3rd round... bet zero.... 4th round... bet zero... 5th round, all in. That would easily be the best option for a win but they went all in on round 3 and left themselves wide open for 2 rounds.

It's actually a fun gameshow (for me) the psychology is a level that we don't typically see on TV, as they're quite clever and on the ball. I'm an idiot at times as well though so I can completely relate, there's always someone to tell me I'm being daft though so how did 3 geniusisisis not figure that out?

Watched Warfare the other night, I think Alex Garland might be my new favourite he's always sat pretty high on my list as both a writer and director but I've been blown away with Civil War & Warfare now to be honest

Can't wait for 28 Years Later another Garland written movie, trying to get a babysitter sorted for this weekend to go see it

Warfare was incredible by the way

Nick Cages new film, The Surfer is now on streaming on AppleTV tomorrow and Amazon Prime Video now (paid)

This is the film that won the Sundance Film Festival award, it's an australian film, basically he's a family man reduced to going absolutely nuts and getting revenge, looks very twisted but very Nick Cage.

If you're a fan, may be worth a watch
