Locked BIOS & Overclocking GPU's

Potentially a contentious topic, but just wondered two things regarding PCS laptops:

- Is the BIOS locked on for example the Vortex III or SkyFire models?
- Has anyone attempted to overclock their GPU slightly on one of the above? I would assume it could possibly void the warranty but I was purely wondering how well built the laptops are to cope with minor performance tweaks, as Alienware & Samsung laptops seem to cope reasonably well with it.

I don't wish to promote the idea by the way, clearly it's at your own risk if you choose to ignore the risks :)

The BIOS contains a notable lack of configurable options. It's the only thing I'm not completely impressed with. However, it does mean that the vast majority of people will not be tempted to 'mess around' in their BIOS and screw things up so badly that they end up costing PCS a bunch of money in support calls.

I personally wouldn't want to overclock anything in a laptop, purely because the chassis will not designed to deal with the extra heat produced.
