Ive already bought it but would love some feedback. I do intend to eventually overclock the CPU for longevity, i believe newer games will become far more CPU intensive (RDR2 and hopefully a new ARMA will utilise more than 2 cores)

Lemme know what you think

Cancel the order immediately. If you already received it, return it for a refund and start over.

This is a very poor spec. The CPUs on the X299 motherboards are really intended for workstations, and many are obsolete already.

The 9800x is more expensive and lower performing for gaming than both Intel and AMD equivalents.

The motherboard is a shocking waste of cash and will do you no good.

The case doesn't seem ideal for airflow and I wouldn't recommend it.

H80i is poor value next to the much more effective H100x

Drop the USB card. The mobo and case already provide lots of ports.

If you are spending this much and buying a 2TB SSD, at least get the fastest one on the table (970 Evo).

I imagine the below is still quite a lot cheaper than your spec, while having a much, much better CPU, a faster SSD, etc

Thanks bud, ive just emailed to cancel and will reorder with this spec, even get Breakpoint for free.

Thanks for the advice, i should really have specced and asked for advice before ordering.

One question tho, what case would you reccomend (ideally i would like usb-c ports)?

Cheers

No worries, glad it helped :)

You get a USB C at the rear with the mobo regardless ofc.

If you: want a front facing one, like tempered glass, like RGB, and have the cash to spare, then the Corsair 680X or Corsair 500D SE will fit the bill. As will the Coolermaster H500M. And they're all solid for cooling too.
