Looking for a fairly powerful all round PC. My budget is £700 and this spec sorta reaches that limit...

i put this spec on for ya its an intel based instead of AMD
and also added the silver warranty for a year instead of a month

the prices goes just above your budget £730.00
but it doesnt have the wireless, i didnt see that when i was putting this together but with wireless its £746.00

plus there is kinda room for an upgrade later with an extra hard drive for additional space

A budget of £700 to get a pc and a monitor is very hard pushed now days. I think for your budget its an ok spec but the GPU you chose is a of low - mid range quality, it will get the job done but dont expect to play games at high detail.
id recomend changing the hard drive, get a 500gb primary drive and another drive that you can use purely for storage (might be pushing your budget tho).

Thanks for the advice, especially about the GPU, I'm probably not gonna end up playing loads of high end games anyways. I think intel is just a bit too expensive so i'll stick to AMD. Yeah i'm considering changing the hard drive but i might end up going a bit over-budget :S. Thanks both of ya for the advice .

if you plan on sticking with amd, i'd probably knock the case down a bit, which would give you a little extra cash to play around with, which you could use to pick up a better hdd and or processor. also do you really need the 8gb ram? you could always add extra when required, but in the short term it would give you around £40 extra to play around with.

that spec is £719, which is just over your budget, but if you dropped the case down another notch to the collermaster 310 it would only be £695. i dropped the cpu cooler as you probably wont need it too much if you're not going to be using your pc for too heavy tasks aswell as changing the case and dropping the ram to 4gb. upgraded the processor to a phenom 970, changed hdd to a caviar black and gave you a slightly better graphics card. hope this helped a bit
