We love you Ukraine
surely your sound system is a little over kill for the PC :ROFLMAO:
Never! It’s running through a decent audio interface that can do up to 96khz at 24bit.

Sorry, but I'm gonna nerd out here for a minute, apologies in advance.

CD is 44.1khz at 16bit. All my digital library is in high res FLAC files.

The khz bit is how many samples per second same as FPS / Hz. The bit rate or depth is how much info is within each of those samples. 16bit gives you 96dB of dynamic range which is basically the space each instrument can rise and fall within, 24bit gives you up to 144dB of dynamic range. And to further complicate matters, dB is not linear, so roughly 30dB is double the loudness of 10dB. A jet engine is roughly 120dB. So you get far more depth within the music even if you're playing at lower volumes.

So it's quite a significant step up from CD quality. Nowadays you can get up to 192KHz.

But vinyl sounds better. There, I said it.
