:helpsmilie:Hi I'm new to the world of PC gaming and I'm looking for a good gaming laptop around £800. Is this possible? I'm hoping to be able to play Euro Truck Simulator 2 and GTA IV etc. I've been looking for a while now and still cannot find anything, it's either too expensive or not good enough:wacko:. Please could someone reply with some good laptops that are in/close to my budget?! :)

I can't find any direct benchmarks on those games, but if you look at the link I posted previously, you'll see how the card performs on others and can get a general idea what it's like. It's generally considered that 60fps (frames per second) is the acceptable base rate, so anything under that is starting to struggle.

Ok so that looks promising. Now I hate to be awkward, but do you know of anything lower price wise? :innocent:

What is your actual budget? I wouldn't downgrade the GPU, if you are looking to spend less than £700 you may want to consider a desktop instead

It would help if you provide a maximum budget so someone can come up with a suitable alternative.

Oh sorry I forgot that! About £800 is the upper buget for me, but I would prefer it to be below it! ;)
Also I forgot to say I think I'll need about 12GB ram :)

Well you could downgrade to 4gb ram but I wouldn't downgrade anything else. Out of curiously why the need of 12gb ram?

You've just listed a load of games that don't need 12gb of ram though... NO games need 12gb of ram at the moment. No games even need 8gb.

you will be fine with 8gb ram..
you could downgrade the CPU to i5, but I would try to push the budget as much as you can..
the more you push your budget, the more futureproof the laptop will be imo..

try to squeeze in an i7, gtx 860m and 8gb ram.
