looking at other forums posts I know the 4070 is probably a little overkill but it’s the lowest I could atm on the custom build for some reason.

I will be paired with a dual 1440 144hz display and primarily used for gaming (wow and cod mainly but I like to have my options open)

I will admit I’m not too keen on the case so hopefully before I order more will come in stock as I love my current case (please see below what I’m upgrading from)

main reasons for wanting to upgrade are because I’m finding with my current on the latest wow expansion I cant run on ultra settings without serious frame drops or even medium - high settings and for me i want to enjoy the game in its full form

budget is around 4k, no major rush to build as I know some things arent in stock yet but I wanted to put the feelers out there now and start getting Feedback / help / guidance on preparing to upgrade to a new beast

thanks in advance

If there’s nothing wrong with your current machine, and it’s for gaming, I’d probably just swap out the CPU for a 5800X3D and a 4070Ti.

Although the 750w PSU might be an issue, so maybe a 6800XT or 6950XT if available?

Okay perfect thanks for the quick replies, maybe I don’t need to spend another 4k after all then, I’ll look into the upgrading of my existing machine , I don’t seem to run into many issues with it other than these dragonflight issues , shall have a look at the forum, thanks all

If you're uncomfortable doing the upgrades yourself, you can return the PC and PCS will do them for you (for a small fee of course).

But yeah, no need to replace the build, a 5800X3D CPU and RX6800XT would be quite a boost to performance at 1440p

5800X3D is a great buy right now, would be my choice along with a 6800XT/4070Ti (given the budget). The main issue is likely to be the PSU, which is a little low for the 4070ti, but the 5800X's low draw will aid with this so I would probably suck it and see.
