Hi guys. :)

Ok, first off... Not too gush too fanboyishly, but I absolutely ADORE PCSpecialist. The website is beautifully set out, customer service above reproach and the forums massively add to the overall experience and really add to the piece of mind when making a large and important purchase like this one.

So my PC has been at the Pre-production stage for about 11 working days now, so I called into the order tracking line to see if there were any hold-ups. Got a friendly guy who went to check out the dealio for me, who told me that actually it went into building yesterday at 2.45 - one minor niggle - the tracking system hasn't yet updated from pre-production, is this normal?

I did quite a bit of research before choosing PCSpecialist and I have to say that at this stage, I am really pleased I did. I don't think anyone else on the market puts as much time and effort into making their customers feel as involved and enthusiastic about their product.

Got some brilliant advice on the forum about my specs most of which I took on board, being of a middling tech-knowledge level. I think it will take a bit longer than the lead times for the machine to get to me, but overall I absolutely cannot fault the service. The ability to check how busy the phone lines are before you call is a lovely touch also.

Going absolutely nuts waiting for my machine, but from everything I've read I just know that it will be worth the wait!

Thanks a lot guys, really looking forward to receiving it!

Cheers,

J

The updating of the website requires manual input and is not automatic so it's not always absolutely accurate.

Have to agree that PCS are a very good company. I'd never used them previously so was slightly anxious about parting with so much cash to an unknown. However, like you I did a bit of research first and overwhelmingly the feedback is very positive. Glad I made the decision I did.

Enjoy your PC when it arrives.

So PCSpecialist emailed me this morning to let me know that my motherboard is out of stock. I rang them to find out how long the delay would be and found out that new stock should be delivered Thursday, so no biggie. On closer inspection, I noticed something that pleased me. A lot.

I am fairly sure that I ordered my PC with one of the slightly defective Sandy Bridge Motherboards. To be honest it wouldn't really matter to me initially as I only have one DVD drive and one main HDD attached to the board, so they could have used the non defective connectors and shipped it to me. BUT NO!! Not good enough for PCSPecialist. Without me even having to ask them, they've upgraded my order to the new MoBo and are now just awaiting stock. I didn't even know that Intel had managed to sort out replacing the defective boards. There aren't many companies that would do that.

Thank you PCSpecialist, for giving me yet another reason to adore your company!

(Though if you don't get the machine to me soon, my wife might leave me as I have apparently become unbearable to live with - that is if she doesn't end up leaving me anyway after I spend the weekend I get the PC benchmarking!)

Cheers,

J

To be honest, the speed with which i've received responses from PCSpecialist - both on the forum and via an email inquiry - has been second to none. Shame there aren't more companies out there like this!
