Loving it...

So it's taken me a while to get everything *just so*, but my new PC is finally settled into its home.

I originally needed it to get run vMix streams, which it handles without even breaking a sweat, but from a QoL perspective it's also got me up to 144fps for gaming (or 40fps for KSP2) as opposed to my old Apple Studio Display/Stadia (RIP) combo that maxed out at 60fps. In the long run, the iMac'll probably be replaced by a second monitor (or an ultra-wide, got my eye on the Corsair Xeneon Flex), but in the meantime it's an absolute beauty.

Big thanks to @SpyderTracks for help on the spec (here for reference: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/saved-configurations/amd-am5-pc/Q0M9AycTE5/)!

Awesome stuff! I desperately want to get it off the carpet, though... Even a piece of plywood would make a difference to how much fluff gets sucked into your power supply!

Love your desk btw.

We love you Ukraine
Looking good. I'm loving the cooler cap highlighted, it's really nice.

Thanks very much for the mention as well, really pleased you're liking it, and hoping it will give you many years of powerful use. It's a good platform so should have you covered for upgrades for the future also.

I had that thought too, got a perspex base on the way to keep things nice and clean!

I’m sure it will! I have to say that I wasn’t in it for the RGB initially but it does add a certain something…

With at desk that big, why would it be on the floor? And especially directly in front of where your feet will be, that's just asking for a broken side panel surely?

Edit: And does the air vent on the floor beside vent warm air in?

Haha no, that vent’s not connected to anything thankfully, the room’s on its own control. It’s on the floor for cable management, but also because the only reasonable way to fit it on the desk would mean it would either be next to the CNC machine (very dusty) or the tarantula enclosure (sensitive to temperature change).

The iMac used to spend a good portion of its time on the floor where the PC now is and it’s survived well enough, so touch wood the case should be fine 🤞
