Low FPS with 3080TI?

Hi everyone, I recently upgraded to a 3080Ti from a 2060S and have not noticed a change in FPS at all really. Averaging around 100-120 fps on Apex Legends on both GPUs, in the loading screen my fps is super high on the 3080Ti but then it's the same FPS so I'm a little confused.

Specs:

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600, cooler is Corsair AIO H100iGPU: 3080Ti Founders EditionPSU: Corsair 850W Gold Fully ModularRAM: 2x8Gb Corsair Vengeance 3200MHzMobo: ASUS Prime B450 PlusMonitor: Alienware 240Hz 1080p

I've enabled DOCP, done DDU and play on 1080p with almost maxed settings (at low settings i get around 5-10 fps more). Looking at performance my GPU is at around 75 degrees, 90% utilisation, CPU utilisation barely reaches 60%. I've enabled Ultra High performance on windows settings too. Not sure what else I can really do to hit that sweet 190FPS I'm looking for.

I've done my testing on userbenchmark and my 3080Ti FE is around 50th percentile meaning its bang on average, with a 200% score or so for gaming.

Which model of corsair PSU have you got?

What monitor are you pairing it with? What make and model? And what connection are you using to plug it in?

What do you mean by this? You're either using a PSU PCIe splitter cable or 2 separate PSU cables? It needs to be two individual cables from 2 PCIe ports on the PSU each going into the GPU.
Isn't it the splitter that comes as part of the FE because of it's weird pin layout? OP did say they have an FE

Ok, so firstly we need to know if it's the game that's not performing or windows throttling the game.

Can you install furmark and run it at max resolution and monitor GPU usage with HWMonitor?

And what have you set your DOCP to?

Keep HWMonitor open while furmark is running and take a screenshot of the window after about 5 minutes while furmark is still running.

There's also a little line you need to enter manually into the game client to uncap FPS, otherwise they're limited to 144 apparently:

Get uncapped FPS on Apex Legends without enabling V-Sync

To ensure you have no FPS cap in Apex Legends, you simply need to add a command line to Apex Legends’ launch options in Origin.

  1. Close Apex Legends (you cannot access launch options if the game is running).
  2. Open Origin or Steam.
  3. Go to your Game Library and right-click on Apex Legends
  4. Click the ‘Game Properties’ option on Origin.
  5. If on Steam, choose ‘Properties’.
  6. Click ‘Game Properties’.
  7. Navigate to the Advanced Launch Options (Origin)/General (Steam) tab on your preferred platform.
  8. Under Command line arguments (Origin) or Launch Options (Steam), type: +fps_max unlimited.
