Medieval C&C like game?

Hi guys i played a demo a few years ago of a medieval game, something like stronghold..... was wondering if u know of any good games like this where it has C&C like gameplay/castle def, where u can put archers on walls and go out hunting? lol sorry if im asking for a game that hasn't been made but worth a try

Well there is a new Stronghold coming out, not sure when though
There are a few I used to play, I'll have to have a look when I get home tonight, I'll post back if I find any

There's Majesty and Majesty2 which are pretty good - you don't control each unit as such, but you built a fortress and surrounding village, build some knights and wizards, and then post rewards on nearby monster holes. The wizards amble off, zap goblins, and return to spend the money at the pub you built. Pretty fun

if you like CnC style play I would sugest trying out Battle for Midle earth (the Lord of the Rings rts's) I and II. they are pretty good fun, and i think they use a similar engine to CnC Generals (old stuff , but still fun! )

Spellforce 2 (claims to be an Action RPG, but is much closer to an RTS)
Crusaders: thy kingdom come
The Kings' Crusade (formerly known as Lionheart: Kings' Crusade)

Upcoming:
Stronghold 3 (Q1 2011)
Shogun 2 Total War (2011)

Something among those should appeal to you.
