My old (4 yrs this christmas) tower desktop, attached to TV via HDMI, is looking increasingly huge sat below the TV and, I have convinced myself, the cooling fans get louder by the day.
All I need is a moderately capable machine - no games, no video editing etc. Just watch DVD's, browsing, play music library, store photos, email, remote connection to work (hence windows prof) for Office type work.
Re the set-up below:
1. Is this genuinely silent, save for hard-drive?
2. Is it going to be fast enough for these straightforward applications (I don't want to be getting "the rage")
3. I assume there is an HDMI out (spec is silent on this)
(If the answer is "meh", how quiet is the step-up Intel i3 option?)
