I managed to spec and order a gaming laptop that would delight my kids 
Having only ever bought branded/off the peg pcs I was a little daunted at the idea of choosing the hardware spec but a quick email to a very helpful pc specialist elf set me on the right track.
The (very well packed) machine arrived in a timely manner, was a dream to set up and has handled life with my kids well so far. The fan seems to be very noisy and run even under light loads; I'll contact PCS team over this but other than that we are delighted and will use them again - for my next work laptop... I'm even tempted to build our own AIO to replace our ageing Mac.
