Also there is no preorder on those cards, does that mean they are in stock and you can change and have pc straight away?

Interesting - My PC went into build this morning, I wonder what happens if I switch to one of those (no pre-order and not grayed would mean ready to be picked?)

i am staying with strix, it is better built (higher quality parts) gpu with better overclocking potential for my waterooled pc. Saving 100-150 euro does not matter considering i spent 6.25k :D Also i was told my pc is going into build by the end of this week hopefully by support last week, parts are ready, just load is high.

I would've stayed with the STRIX, although my impatience beat me :( was only a £27 upgrade so not too bad!

The 3090 is still available, so you should be good - I did manage to snag one of the MSI 3080s, which was a 160 Euro saving on the RX 6900 XT (Merc)

I managed to switch to the 3080 and its in testing today! All thanks to your OP - many many thx!!!

Spoken to live chat today, there was only 5 MSI 3090's to buy and they don't have any plans on getting them in again, luckily I was one of the 5 people to buy the MSI 3090 so I've secured my card :) No sign of building yet but hopefully soon!

sweet. I am staying with the strix 3090, been told yesterday by Tove at support that all my parts are in stock. Just waiting for hands to actually go into building :D hopefully next week. Seems like lots and lots of pcs are being build daily if the only think i am waiting for last 2 weeks is manpower

The 6900XT is considerably more powerful than a 3080 though - i’d have expected the saving to be much higher. Is it a 3080 suprim?

It was the Suprim X, for me DLSS + Cuda support swings it in favour of the 3080, I was ordering the XFX Merc 319 as a compromise as I needed the desktop (for work) now and not in September... My gaming will be 4k @ 60hz and while the 4K benchmarks are very similar: https://www.gpu-monkey.com/en/compa...r_merc_319_radeon_rx_6900_xt_black_gaming-195 they are all without DLSS enabled (which will only be needed for games that drop below 60hz on my current rig)

I believe AMD are releasing their version of DLSS. With 4K 60hz you could have easily got away with a 3070, especially with DLSS. I guess the price of the 3080 is so high because of hashrates
