Greetings good people
New here, 1st post ....
I'm planning a new PC, mainly as a digital audio workstation for home recording etc
(and obviously some general internet / all round home use).
Not interested in games, so a hi spec graphics card is not required (hence why I've chose 8600g).
Also it's for home use, I don't need to record a 30 piece band, just 2 or 3 tracks at once max' with Synth plugins & FX etc.
I'm also looking for something that's going to last 10yrs or so, my current pc is a i5 2500k bought in 2012 and generally it's still excellent for most stuff but as a 'DAW' it's beginning to struggle with some of the more recent software.
Longevity is important as I don't want to upgrade every few years.
I'll be using Linux [low latency kernel] with mainly Reaper / Ardour.
any advice / notes on this quote would be much appreciated:-
