Alright guys new pc for all my music needs, run alot of processor/ ram heavy Vsts and multiple samples.

Just need a good soundcard and this is complete along with the rest of my hardware.

Any suggestions for a good PCI sound card, Audiophiles is an obvious choice although have been looking at RME...

Nice build :) i would drop the "K" as you will have no problems without it so you could say yourself. Its just the overclocked model. apart from that everything is good.

Hi there Gream,
I also have a small recording studio mainly for my own work and remix for other artist, I have been using mbox 2 up till now as my sound card however as you may already know MBOX will only work on PRO TOOLS..... however.... I invested in MBOX PRO (3) and shes an awesome external soundcard (firewire only), she is also compatible with almost every other sequencing software out there on the market.
I know your looking for a PCI card, but firewire external is the way to go :)

Pretty much exactly the same setup I've just ordered for music production except I got a different HD setup and a HD6870 card.

I use an Echo Mia Midi PCI soundcard that has served me very well for a good few years now. Just upgraded my speakers from some KRK Rokit 6's to some Adam A7X's that arrived today too. When my new PC comes I wont be leaving the studio for a while. ;)

LOL.... Yeah, i purchased a new PC from PCS and was suprised i could run Spectrasonics Atmosphere (Power hungry mova) with loads of other plugins without it giving me ram errors lol....
My poor Carillon Music PC system has now been laid to rest....RIP....
