Hi everyone, as of September I am off to university to study electronic engineering. I will have to take a foundation year and this is in computer gaming technology. After speaking to the tutors I know in this year we will be using the Unreal Development Kit. I am on a bit of a budget and the spec below comes out at £630 which is my absolute limit. After spending ages looking at different machines PC Specialist seem to offer the best value. There were a couple of questions hopefully the spec below will be sufficient, if anyone sees that I am missing a trick or I should swap one component out for another please let me know. Also I am quite dubious of Windows 8.1 I'm not a huge fan of the metro interface, how have people found 8.1? I know that eventually a long time from now support for Windows 7 will stop, and everyone will be using Windows 8, but is it worth going for 8.1 now or sticking with 7 for the moment?
