My first PC won't turn on - HELP!

Hi.

I bought a PC without a GPU from PC Specialist a month ago. My RTX 3080 just arrived and I've installed it, along with a new M.2 SSD. It's got a B550-PLUS mobo, TX650M PSU, 2x8GB RAM, Ryzen 3700x (stock cooler), RTX 3080. This is housed in a Corsair When I turn on PC, the fans won't even spin. The only signs of life are that the motherboard RGB lights come on. Other than that, just a click from the PSU when I press the power button. This is my first gaming pc and I'm not sure where to begin diagnosing the issue. I made sure I was grounded when installing the GPU and SSD and was extremely careful with the build.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

The PSU isn’t powerful enough for the card, you’d need a 750w as an absolute minimum but preferably a 850w

Is this the issue for sure? Only asking because I've seen many have success with 650w power supplies.
650W isn't enough to power it under load with that configuration.

It should in theory still power on just for windows, but will cut out in gaming.

This is from the nvidia site:

Required System Power (W) (2)750

So do you think there could be another reason, since it won't even boot to BIOS or Windows?

It says they are too large to upload. You should be able to click to enlarge on the link. Just uploading the new ones now.

sorry for jumping in, I looked at the last image and it seems you only have one PCIE cable going to the GPU witch is split, it should have 2 PCIE cables going in to the 12 pin splitter like the image below, that may help the one with the red box around it is for 3 cables, so you can ignore that but look at the 2 PCIE slot images. Hope this helps

Oh interesting! So if I'm using the 3080 FE 12 pin adapter, it would be two separate PCIE cables, one for each 8 pin? I will try this!

So I've got the other PCIE cable connected to the power supply, but this one won't go into the 3080 FE 12 pin adapter. It's like it fits, but won't push in. Also this cable has PCIE 4 written on the input end, instead of the PSU output like the other one.. Do I push harder or have I got something wrong?
