Just out of curiosity what are you going to be using the PC for?

16GB is of RAM is generally overkill unless unless you're going to be doing high RAM usage rendering or similar.

Do you need both a Blu-Ray/DVD drive and another DVD drive, unless you're going to be writing an awful lot of DVD's I would've thought one would suffice.

Is the Velociraptor required as the second hard drive? You may find that a Caviar Blak or one of the Seagate Barracudas is still fast enough for the second drive.

Warranty, get the silver, its only a fiver and extends the return and collect bit of the warranty to a year rather than teh default of a month.

Considering the amount of money spent on the pc and your choice of overclocking/GPU I would go for gold or platinum warranty, I am just pretty risk-averse when it comes to computer stuff.

Hi! Ty for reply. I've specced PC like this for "Future Proofing". Yes i know 16GB of Ram may seem overkill but prefer to have a top grade PC without having to spend more on it for a good few years ...until more intense games which is what i'll be using it for, currently World of Warcraft but when Diablo 3 comes out will be for that.

Playing it safe is always a good option so with the added DVD Writer it's a "backup" incase of a failure. Rather have something while other is repaired/replaced. Already have a PS3 for blu-Ray should i need it.

The SSD is a 1st for me and i love the quickness, load times and everything about them. Mainly use it for my OS and the 2 games as stated. Will use the Velociraptor for other games, films and everything else as required.

I didnt think of the warranty issue which i should have so thankyou for the heads up. I'll probably go for the 3Year GOLD Warranty, but seeing as i like "Top-Of-The_range" and best, probably the Platinum.

Ty again :)

I think the Platinum warranty is pretty good value for money (compare to other retailers). I had a minor issue with my pc, it was collected the following day and returned in less than a week!! pretty good technical support.

Nice machine mate I have ordered something similar , should be entering building middle of next week can't wait!!! I have done some research on the various bits and pieces that make up the machine there is a good video on youtube that shows the various features of the motherboard you and I have chosen. The video is about an hour long but the board is packed with features which might interest you. Here is a link which hopefully will take you there http://youtu.be/MaCjyAAuYKc, if not just stick the name of the mothereboard in the search engine.

Hi Madman! ty for your reply.

Been thinking and read that overclocking reduces the life of components...whether thats true or not. So i'll revert back to the i7- 3930k. I've always had Nvidia Graphics Cards. 7900Gt, 9600Gt and now the 590 3GB. So with the monitor i'll be getting i can use the 3D capabilities too.

I'll be getting the Bigfoot Killer Gaming Network Card and when BT Infinity comes to the area in June i'll be getting the 100Mb option.

I dont really have any intense or space hogging stuff to warrant a big hard drive (apart from films), though with the case and components i can add more drives in the future.

Ty for your reply and feedback. All ideas are welcomed :)

Hi Noodles!
The Rampage MoBo is really nice. Kid in a candy store comes to mind with all what it can do. Probably wont use half the utilities but i like it :) Maybe you should do a "Unboxing" of your machine and post it on forum here. I love unboxing videos lol. All this talking about it makes me want it like 3 weeks ago lol.
