Some days ago I was informed I was sending out email messages with odd links.


My PC has a virus or malware this message just appeared: I was running a backup on macrium reflect at the time.




What should I do, I have malwarebytes installed but scans have not picked up anything unusual

Some days ago I was informed I was sending out email messages with odd links.

This could be that someone has hacked your email account (especially if its a webmail account) - I'd change the password just to be sure.

What should I do, I have malwarebytes installed but scans have not picked up anything unusual

Do you also have a virus checker, you need a virus checker as well as a malware scanner, if not get one, there are a number of decent free ones.
Malwarebytes will pick up malware, but not viruses.

Why has this certificate from akamai.net appeared on my computer, never had anything like this happen before?

I was not viewing any websites at the time, when I closed down macrium reflect it was behind it.
