My Stressful PC Journey

After years of using an old PC I was gifted I thought I would finally order myself my own.

So with zero knowledge when it comes to computers I mistakenly ordered a PC without knowing about this amazing forum, that was a regret. After 15 days of Pre-production I finally discovered the forum and posted the specs of my computer. I was met with great help from the community and they quickly made me realise I made a mistake with my order. I quickly cancelled my order and PCSpecialist were very understanding about it and quickly refunded me. Then the fun began o_O...

So after a week I sought the help of the community again and they began spec'ing my computer, but because my PC was in pre-production I was able to save alot more which meant many amendments, I do feel bad for the guy who read my order. So fast forward 3 weeks my PC went into build mode, and the results made me a very happy man!

Although I'm still trying to figure out the whole benchmarking and stress testing I'm slowly getting there

My setup is what you would probably call simplistic, because I just like the clean look. Although a few fancy LED's would've looked pretty dope

I would like to say a thank you to the users STEVEYG & SIBUN1 for their help and an all mighty thank you to JUNIOR, I don't know how you kept your cool with me during this stressful month. You're one hell of a guy.

My whole experience with PCSpecialist has been a good one, I understand the waiting times are currently quite long but I imagine they are in most places. 5/5!
Thank you :D

This looks amazing, I love the TD500 case! It looks like a nice clean setup and that G5 looks awesome, I'm very jelly.

I might sound like a broken record from what I said in the speccing thread but I'm glad you're happy! It was an interesting journey but has ended well with an awesomely specced PC (if I may say so myself ;) ). You were great to work with and at no point was I near to losing my cool 😂 Enjoy the PC as I'm sure you will and keep us updated on how it is!

If you're happy with PCS's service, it might be worth sending them an email of your good experience. They're being worked to the bone with the pandemic and new card releases and I'm sure they'd be happy to hear about a satisfied customer!

You were amazing, thanks again. I'm glad you recommended the changes because I'm honestly inlove.

And I will certainly send them an email 😁

Have you tried adjusting the timings on the RAM to 16-18-18-36?
I've the 8GB modules for the same RAM stick as you and they're at 16-18-18-36, you should be able to get some free performance if you can adjust it.

I did not, I'm not too computer savvy but I'll certainly look into this bud, thanks 😁

I believe the 3200MHz at PCS are already set to CL16?
3600MHz is CL18.

It is at 16-20-20-38 accord to them benchmarks, which is pretty fast, but could still be tightened a bit.
