Oh wow thanks alot for the help! Quick question pretty much everyone went for Nvidia instead of Raedon, any reason behind it? For a bit more I can get a intel i7 will that make it better? Do you need 2 harddisks or 1 is enough?
500gb is enough for you OS and about 450GB worth of storage, With ya budget i'd stick with that, unless you feel you need to store more. In the future you could easily add another hard drive in mega easily, say if you wanted extra storage space for music, movies, and pics it would be prudent to get a good energy saving drive, eg WD caviar green or seagate barrcude green.
A I7 2600 is a cpu, if you do alot of cpu intensive tasks, the 2600's hyperthreading tech will benefit ya needs greatly, however, if its just for gaming then the 2500 is plenty, As games generally rely on the GPU and do not make use of hyperthreading tech, however, games like total war series or flight sims are very cpu depended so in that case the 2600 hundred would be money well spent.
What ever you decide to go with, post before doing so, just so the guys can check it over.
its just something people prefer, some benchmarks prefer AMD, some prefer nVidia, i prefer nvidia myself but some prefer AMD, nVidia have a much bigger share in the market and their drivers are usually better, they also require less power and give off less heat
1. I'd get a bigger and better case, such as the cm690 II, has great cooling and cable management (all cables hid away, out of way of airflow) the T900 has no where to really hide the cables.
2. drop to the standard version of the 2600, the K version just means that the multipliers are unlocked for easier and high overclocking, not needed in at all.
3.Get either a 1tb seagate baracuda or a 1tb caviar black drive, these are alot faster than the standard ATA drives.
