Need a new Monitor.

Ive posted here a while back but things have changed a little bit regarding my monitor situation.

I have a budget of upto about £150 (bit over if needs be but prefer under please). To be used for xbox gaming and PC Light gaming and use My graphics card has a VGA slot a HDMi slot and a white long one which looks like vga but has a cross at the end. I want 2 so the panel at side of the screen would be good if it was smaller. I would like 24" but could do 23.6" or 23". If you can help in anyway with info on buying or a screen it would be greatly appreciated.

I would recommend the Iiyama E2473HDS/HS they are great, I now have two of them, plus it has 2 HDMIs which means you can easily plug in your xbox and PC and have sound for both

The white long one as you describe is a DVI-D which the monitor also has one of if you want to use that, but is video only, no sound

Ok thanks i dont do all that subwoofer and external rubbish so HDMI is what i want but can you link me that screen i cant find it?

I cannot post links to external sites, but it is available from PCS, if you haven't ordered yet, you can add it to your order, or you can create a new order over the phone, and I think you can buy single parts online now as well :)

Does this come with built in speakers? And if it does are they good enough. I dont listen to music so dont need them to be great but any background noise or static?

yes I think it is 2x2W speakers, for a monitor, they are pretty good, obviously its nothing in comparison to a set of standalone speakers but I have had no problems with them, very clear, no static or background noise

Just incase anyone knows. If i go into my account on PCs goto my orders, click change order and add the TV to my order and pay for it will they ship it to me or because ive already bought my pc it kinda glitchs so to speak? And do i have to pay postage for the item since i live in the Scottish highlands and islands?

If you're doing it through the 'upgrade my pc' thing, yeah you'll have to pay for postage (I think you have to pay for postage no matter what option you choose being Scottish highlands/islands)

If you are only buying a monitor then yes you will have to pay postage - though how much it is I do not know.

Edit: when i bought my monitor separately after my PC it was 6quid postage, but that was when PCS still used Yodel and that was just normal postage rates since I'm not anywhere where I need to pay extra for postage.

Yeah I think the postage charges are the same as if you were buying anything to be honest. You can check them out on the "upgrade my PC" section of the main website :)

But of course, it's incorporated into the selling price of the product. If I see something with free P+P to anywhere in Europe, then I can guarantee I'll find that product cheaper elsewhere that charges P+P because I'm not subsidising the postage costs to buyers on the other side of Europe!

Even on eBay, the stuff with free postage is generally more expensive than the stuff where postage is chargeable because eBay collect a percentage of the item price in fees, but they don't subtract fees from the postage cost. i.e as an ex ebay business seller, I made more money by charging less for the product than competitors, but charging over the odds for postage. The overall payable price was cheaper for the buyer, and the ebay fees were less for me.

So, free P+P is only free depending how you look at it, but if you are from Highlands/Islands then obviously free p+p is of more benefit to you because its so much more expensive to post stuff there.
