both have their benefits, the one you chose has better case etc, but has no CPU cooler or a high quality PSU, Caviar Greens are also slower than the caviar green

So would this be alot better then an intel gaming computer? and if i added another £50 pound or so to my budget would it be worth upgrading anything like the processer? thanks for the messages anyway :)

you could try stretching to the GTX 570 graphics card, although not entirely necessary, and then if there is any cash left over, opt for a better quad core if available, or the lowest 6 core, but the 6 core probably wont have any benefit

this is kinda of at the top at a certain range, and to upgrrade properly you would need to upgrade both and possibly the RAM

you may want a better case instead that looks better and keeps your parts cooler

i thought i changed more then i did lol my bad..... would you choose the phenom x4 over the intel i5? i dont want to make any mistakes for my first gaming computer.

the i5 is a great processor, hence why it is my current choice, but it is a lot more expensive and its a luxury really, my computer spec has been chosen at the budget of around £1300 whereas yours is half the price. The AMD will be fine for your needs and will probably max out majority of modern games, if you want max settings on most new games, id definitely say get a 570 well worth the difference

there is no need to really go with Intel on your budget and the money can be spent elsewhere

perhaps a 570 graphics card, which is really what you need if you plan on maxing out games, not an i5

also a better case would be a good idea, most are fine, just make sure to check before hand
