Need help for a pc build

Hello, my friend needs help with a pc build with a budget of about £2000 but that budget can possibly be increased, "depends on how much it costs". the budget includes the cost of the PC and then keyboard and mouse but idk if there's much good peripherals on here. He has no monitors but will be looking for 27" dual monitor setup but that doesn't need to be included in the budget. I have a pc of my own but I wouldn't be confident in making a good reliable build that also has upgradability with his budget as I haven't had my pc for that long to make the choices for him. The games he will be playing will include games such as Rainbow 6 Siege, Dead By Daylight and Valorant. Thanks for any help given.

The key knowledge really is (a) what monitor(s) he's going to use, and (b) what if any other purposes there will be for the computer.

A dual-monitor setup is not ideal for gaming (you'd normally game on one or, in weird situations, three). A better solution might be an ultra-wide display like the AOC CU34G2X/BK. A build to match that monitor can certainly be done within this budget. But if it's not just gaming, maybe there are scenarios where two monitors would be a better choice...

the only thing i can say to which monitors he will use is that i recommend him atleast 144hz and he wants it to be 27". I should have specified that the pc will be used to stream as well or have the capabilities to stream if he wants to.

Will it be 1080p or 1440p resolution

There's also not much point spending £2000 on a system if it's got a 1080p screen. I'd definitely look at the 1440p or UWQHD option as ultimately offering a better experience. 27 inch, 1440p 144Hz is basically ideal for gaming at this point.

For streaming, you could then have a second monitor that's much cheaper, probably 1080p 60Hz and perhaps even vertically mounted.

There's no point speccing a system, though, until the monitor is decided.

But when I see other streamers setup I usually see 1080p 240hz?

There's also no stream that supports over 60hz. Don't believe what you see on YouTube, most of these streamers are either actual professionals in which case they can make out the difference, or influencers who have paid promos for the hardware and need you to buy it even if it makes no sense for you.

The vast majority of humans can see little, if any, difference once the refresh rate gets much above 120 Hz. 1440p 144 Hz is a far better experience than 1080p 240 Hz.
What will be the difference in the pc specs if he was using 1440p monitors instead of 1080p monitors

Okay well can I get a build for a around £2000 and above if needed for a pc that's capable of streaming and gaming with a 1440p 144hz 27" normal monitor as people are recommending and obviously will get a cheaper lower refresh rate 2nd monitor If the graphics card will take a long time to get then you can keep it in the build but suggest another card if possible. You don't have to include the monitor in the build.

This is over the top as it has the 3070Ti. This is definitely not required in this case, as the 3060Ti would be more than capable.... but isn't available. This is over-shooting but it will do what is required without any issues. My advice would be to purchase the rig as is and when available, switch down to the 3060Ti and pocket the savings.

The entire build has been designed with the future in mind. It'll take up to a 3080Ti type power draw and everything supporting handles top end use.

Note that the price is high because I've selected dual recommended monitors and a reasonable-ish Keyboard & Mouse combo. I would personally choose outside but for the price tag on the ones Ive selected I don't think there is better. As much as gaming would never be recommended on a 27" 1080p screen, I think there are merits to have it as a second screen for streaming clients etc. Both for a bit of a lower resolution, so larger operation, but also having the same look across both monitors.

Other than the graphics card, is everything in this build the best specs for the requirements, like is this the best CPU for the budget price range my friend is at? Motherboard, memory, storage, case?

@Scott has done you a peach of a system there. If you were going to make some minor improvements, you could go for a slightly higher budget case and swap in a Gen 4 NVMe as the primary drive. Which would look like this…
