I have an Asus DUAL OC 3070 already bought that i'm planning on putting in, just wondering if there would be any issues or if theres any areas that i should change.
build comes out to 1150 which is upper limit of budget. I only plan on using it for gaming and i have a 144hz 1080p monitor.

Swapped a few bits and bobs out. Good value rig this. Definitely needed a lot more cooling though.

Thanks for the reply, I do think i will take your advice with cooling for sure, the only thing i really have no idea about are motherboards and after googling a few different ones there's always one problem or another and i was worried about certain boards overheating when it comes to the 13600k from what i've heard, will this not be a problem on this asus tuf board? Also i'm running 2 monitors incase that has any affect.

Should i get extra case fans too? and is the thermal paste upgrade worth it? I've seen some custom ones dropping temps by 5c compared to non brand.

I'm not sure what you mean by motherboard overheating. There's certainly no issue with the specs that I've posted. The paste isn't worth it, the corsair coolers come with premium paste already applied, it's a good quality paste that mixes it in with the mid-tier aftermarket offerings :)

Keep in mind that I posted 2 configurations. For me the best option is the 7800X3D, for gaming, but I get that it's a higher budget :)

No real need for additional fans, the AIO will add 2 fans on its own.

Ok thanks, also i've seen people needing to undervolt 13600k and similar same gen processors, will i even need to do this and if so does the board support it? Sorry if questions are redundant i guess i'm just paranoid from other posts i've seen online.

Again, I'm not sure where you're getting this information. You're free to make your choices as you see fit, garnering information from wherever you choose, I will only state that most sources are filled with whispers on the wind, with the wind being the flatulent kind.

The fact that you seem insistent on the 13600k and are completely discounting the 7800X3D raises my eyebrow as to the fact finding mission you've been on.

Not really much more I can add and I'm not here to persuade you or dissuade you from any decisions you want to make. So will leave the advice as it stands. As always, its your dosh to decide where you put it :)

I just can't afford it unfortunately, 1.2k is already over my budget by quite a bit.

The 7600x is no slouch either, just the absurd heights of the 7800X3D have us leaning towards that but the 7600x would be a great choice.

The alternative could possibly be to get the AMD system but downgrade the CPU to the 7600x which would bring you to 1170...you could then upgrade it to the 7800x3D (or whatever the next gen CPU is) down the road. That is the benefit of the AMD system, it would be upgradeable for another gen or two...the Intel one you are stuck with the current gen
Thanks, i'll look into this seems like a good future proof option, much appreciated. What would be a good motherboard for the 7600x considering a possible upgrade in the future?

Quick one, does it come with accesories such as the dust filters etc? If not is there any way i can get those packaged in or will i have to order them from corsair.

It will come with everything that comes with the case, so all filters, 2 case fans and PCS usually add a rear extractor fan.

Any spares that aren't used in the build will be in the welcome box along with motherboard screws, PSU cables etc

Back now that i actually have the funds to buy it outright rather than set up finance etc.
The gpu will be the asus dual oc 3070 and i already have 2 m.2's to go in, will be used for 1080p possibly 1440p gaming down the way if an effecient and decently priced gpu from either amd/nvidia comes out in the next generation. budget is £1.2k.
Just want to make sure the psu is enough and was wondering if the fans were worth it or should i just get the normal ones? Also do PCS plug the gpu power cables in and wire manage them ready for a quick install? Will this run the newest btd 6 update?

Thanks for the m.2 recommendation, not an area i know alot about and after looking up some reviews of the solidigm drives they seem really good so thanks for bringing that up, also since you didn't add the fans i take it they aren't worth it? Will there be enough airflow with the normal case fans i'm guessing?

Better to have a good case with good inbuilt airflow than to have extra fans. The 4000D with those components will be 100% fine.
