Although I have seen benchmarks and fps counting lower on the 2080 max-q in comparison to the full laptop RTX 2070. Bit then in this video the 2080 max-q scores better then the 2070.

Dont get fooled by benchmarks and higher numbers, it not always mean better if you look at the games there are only ''few'' where rtx 2080 q-max performs better than rtx 2070 mobile, if it would be 2080 super q-max then maybe yes, but for now best price & performance is 2070 rtx.
