Hi All,

After 40 days of Pre-Production and a 5900x release day amendment, I would appreciate any advice on my selected parts for a potential final amendment before the build process hopefully begins.
I've been slightly conflicted about my motherboard and M.2 SSD in particular. I'm intending for this to last me for at least the next 5 - 7 years so I'm quite intent on getting the right spec. Any help / Thoughts would be of great help.

That spec is pretty nice, you've chosen the appropriate motherboard and cooler for the CPU so there's no issues there.

Storage is always dependent on the user. What I'd personally do in your position (funds-dependent) is drop the M.2 down to a 500GB Samsung 980 for the OS drive. And then add a second, cheaper M.2 like the 1TB PCS version. Increases the total storage capacity and keeps your boot drive compact and running fast. The second one can then act as fast storage (only worth it for some mediums like gaming - music and videos gain no benefit from that).

What monitor have you got, out of curiosity?

Thanks a lot for the advice. I've just amended my order as suggested.

As for the monitors, the original plan was for an ASUS ROG Strix XG27UQ as the main gaming monitor with 2 further 27 inch 4k monitors for media / work etc. However, as I get closer to my potential build date I've been heavily considering an ultrawide monitor instead.

Not too sure yet though. If you have any knowledge in this area I'd appreciate any further advice?
