New Desktop Arrived and slightly concerned.

Hey guys, my desktop arrived yesterday after about a month of waiting which I don't mind at all. When I took everything out of the newly arrived box I proceeded to open the Rig to look inside the CM 690 II Advanced case. There was no Protective bag in there as I have seen pictures of here on the forums. Only reason why I checked to be honest. I live in the republic of Ireland and I thought it definitely would of been necessary for its voyage from England to here. What are ye're thoughts on this?

Also when I turned on my computer for the first time today the monitors screen kept blinking really fast as if someone was turning it off really quickly. It has stopped now but if it happens again how do I fix it?

At this stage im just worried there is something wrong with it as im no whizz with these things, that's why I ordered from PCS. I think at this stage if I could extend the warranty of the order then that I think would definitely set my mind at rest. Im currently on the silver warranty. Im not sure if this is the right section to post this so sorry if its wrong

I would double check the connections from the monitor to graphics card are securely seated,I wouldn't worry too much about it though unless it happens again,if it does check the graphics card is securely seated, you could also try a clean reinstall of the graphics driver.
Worst case scenario could be a faulty graphics card or a problem with the monitor, but I don't think that's very likely.

Im not sure if its the same issue but whenever i connect my Dell monitors up to a new computer they seem to re calibrate and flicker for about 5 seconds then never have any issues. The monitors could just be doing that.

Oke so ive been trying to get in contact with PCS and I really can't. I've tried the online chat and when I tell them whats wrong with the PC they leave the chat room. I've tried calling and cant get through to them. I've sent an email and no reply. I'm really worried at this stage. I wasn't expecting this.

Here is a list of whats wrong so far:

The monitor goes really dull and flickers really fast from time to time. I'm using my HD tv atm asnd there is no fickering at all with it.

It has crashed desktop has crashed 3 times while doing the most basic of stuff, the last one that I can remember was connecting to the wireless internet.

As I've said in a previous post there was no protective material inside the desktop, it is a big case and I think it is definitely needed as I live in the republic of Ireland.

It has been beeping 5 times which I think is the motherboard. (Is this a problemn with the CPU?)

Thats everything so far. I dont want to sound like im whining here I just really would like a response or some help as ive no idea what to do. Thanks.

Sounds like you've been having a fairly poor time. I know you've tried without success so far, but I'd honestly say the best way to get in touch is to call PCS - did you use the wait times page before you called? That could help determine if you'll be on hold for a while or not.

The packing material is usually only put in PC's with big heavy components liable to come loose during transit. If you've already tried re-seating your components and had a check to make sure everything is plugged in, its unlikely that something is loose. Its possible that something is still faulty obviously, certainly as you're still having issues.
