Only 5 working days to build and dispatch so top marks to PCS, link to the thread relating to my build here https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?51908-New-gaming-PC-help-needed-with-spec-please!&p=381931#post381931 and also a big up to DPD who delivered next day on time (i paid for the pre 1030 delivery option) at 0930 without a mark on the box.
Opened it all up, no damage and everything working perfectly - really pleased with my choice of case, the white Coolermaster CM690 III looks really classy and without realising it at the time, the white led strip option complements the white lit power button and hard drive indicator.
Blisteringly quick to boot up compared to my old system, just a PC Specialist splash screen and windows has loaded pretty much instantly, all done in about 30 seconds i reckon compared to about 2 minutes on my old pc which went through at least half a dozen booting screens and an interminable delay until i could actually do anything!
So a big thank you to all at PCS for a superb job!

Just got to take out the 2 HD's from my old PC and install them in this one but hopefully that will go ok!:helpsmilie:

A CoolerMaster case ey? Sweet. Don't forget to get your PC off the floor if possible so your new PC doesn't become a dust and pet hair collector :D

hi freely .... glad to see another satisfied customer with a coolmaster tower , the special reset button which does a restart is the best thing on it and it does work because my pc locked up after the windows aniversarry update and the button saved me pulling the plug out of the wall , the last pc i pulled the plug on corupted the start up reg and lucky i had made a back up cd to do a factory reset otherwise i would have been in the ***** cos i could not get to the desktop. i got 7 fans on various componants and if you did not see the lights you would not know it was on , my first rig with ssd's super fast lol. type" my game breaker rig " into the search box to see my set up...... if the admin monitors dont blot out my email address and you have a problem i have a spare email for such things [email protected]

You can just hold the power button down on cases that don't have a dedicated reset button.

PC looks nice, Freeley :) keep us posted as and when you can put it through its paces!

Will do though now I've opened the case to add my hd's I can see that I've got a problem as they not added the cables that I asked for.
There is a daisy chained power lead (which is a different type to what I need so they won't fit) and no sata cables.
Will have to ring PCS tomorrow to sort it

If you ordered a modular PSU and Z270 (expensive) mobo then you should have the spare power leads for the PSU and the spare sata cables that come with the mobo in your welcome back / bag of goodies you get.

The Z270E for example comes with 4 sata cables. One or two of which may have been used already for any sata devices that came with the PC, but the rest should be spare and have arrived with the PC.

PCS generally give you all the accessories that come with the mobo

Yes I've had a rummage and can see a power connecter but only one sata lead, so will need to get another.
I hate having to plug stuff into an expensive new pc when I don't really know what I'm doing though!

hi freeley i think you need to ring PCS i am sure they wont mind if you explain your predicament , i had a big bag of cables , plugs and all manner of left overs , i presume they came with the coolmaster haf x tower that was used for my build and were not required by the person who built my pc.

Rang them this morning and they confirmed which socket of psu to plug in power cable and sata ports for the sata cables so I'm trying to do it now.
Drives removed from old pc easily but they're in caddies which I need to remove. Have taken out 2 screws from caddy but don't see how to get drive out?
Ideas anyone??

Hope this works - there are 2 round lugs on each side of the drive which fit into the caddy.
It looks like I need to slide these lugs in opposing directions to release the drive but they won't budge.
In a minute I'm going to get a large screwdriver and force them out but it won't be pretty and I need the caddy to put a new HD in for my old pc!

Sorry it's upside down don't know why!

Ah ok it was easy I was over thinking it, I just pulled the caddy out via the 4 holding circular pins individually.

Both drives installed, formatted and all my files where I want them so a happy bunny.
Battlefield 1 installed and running on ultra settings, can't wait to get stuck into it!
