What case are you selecting? I would get a better motherboard (z87-a), 8gb ram is plenty for gaming, caviar black as the main drive and triple copper heatpipe. If you are going for the gtx 780 you may also want to consider a better monitor.

You don't need 16gb ram, 8gb is plenty.

Adding ram is easy, it is a nice spec but if I were you I would try to get a more balanced system.
