New Gaming Laptop!

So, after much deliberation and lots of questions, my order has been placed and I eagerly await the arrival of my new Defiance (see below for the spec). As soon as it arrives and I've got a good few hours of gaming done, I will post a review, hopefully helping other people looking at purchasing something similar.

What do you fine people think of the spec? Anything you would of changed? I will mostly be playing WOW, Overwatch, Fortnite & PUBG and maybe some AAA's.

I do have one question, as when it comes to displays, I'm rather un-educated. Is the display I have chosen good? I read a lot about IPS/G-Sync/Resolution/Hz but I'm still unsure if the below display will do the rest of the set up justice. Does it have IPS? (whatever that is). Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks all.

That looks pretty close to what I am thinking about myself, though I am going to get 1x16Gb RAM - in case I want to add another, and likely a larger disk, as I have a ton of music on my old system. Sorry, I can't help with the display stuff.

Sounds good Sherpapsy! I hope it is everything you wish for! Really can't wait for mine to arrive.

Im pretty sure the display is decent but just wanted someone who knows what there talking about to confirm it for me.

It looks great to me.

I don't know if the panel is IPS or not. You could phone PCS and ask. While (imo) IPS is preferable especially at this budget, a decent TN panel can be very good too.

I think the setup is very good and will do justice to / be done justice by the resolution and refresh rate.

For anyone that is interested, I have spoken to PCS.

The 1440p 120HZ QHD display is a TN. A pretty decent one by all accounts with 72%NTSC.

It is the 1080p 144hz display that is IPS.

I believe TN panels are preferred for gaming anyway. Hope this helps. Cheers.
