New gaming PC spec advice

Hi, I'm trying to put together a spec for a new gaming PC for my son. He's started with the below spec but there is a lot to take in and I hoped to get some advice about what should be in there.

  • Mainly gaming use with MS Flight Sim on the list of games he's keen to try out.
  • Monitor chosen was not from this site. 27" LG Ultragear QHD Gaming Monitor with 165Hz refresh rate. Definitely open to suggestions on this.
  • MAX budget for PC £2500.
