Hi All,

Looking to get a new PC primarily for gaming. Currently will be looking at getting the Samsung G5, 1440p monitor at some point in the near future.

Please can you review the specs below and advise of anything that'll work better? - budget around £2k

Hey, just giving this a little bump - I helped initially spec this for him (my brother) but pointed in this direction for any pointers.

I think he can go with a 5600x but obviously wants to do 1 better than me! Storage I was unsure of but the Samsung NVMe must be the better choice to host the operating system.

Yeah sure Case the 5000X would be my preferred option but selecting it with my build just puts me over the 2K mark. The 4000X is fantastic too though it's just the smaller version of the 5000X

I went with a current gen 12700k, to me this is the best price to performance CPU on the market at the minute it's fantastic piece of kit

I have a 3060Ti and a Samsung G5 monitor. I'm having no trouble getting 144FPS is every game I'm playing at the minute so I see no reason to go the 3070 for that monitor just now. Now it wouldn't be a bad idea it's definitely a better card but it's just not required

Storage set up is much cheaper but doesn't sacrifice much in terms of speed. Just helping you get more for you cash here and using the savings the bulk out the rest of the build

1000W PSU may seem stupid but just look up the projected power requirements of the next gen GPU's. Power creep is a real thing at the minute and this is to make sure you'll have enough juice to apply upgrades in a few years

CPU cooler is just fine for this CPU. The H115i you selected is definitely better but in the 4000X case I selected the H100i can be roof mounted which is great for GPU temps. The H115i will have to be front mounted in the 4000X
