what difference is in cases, would this one be ok?

COOLERMASTER MASTERBOX K500 ARGB GAMING CASE - 72£

They are both good cases, i personally favour the Lian Li case, especially at the price pcs sell it (it’s a £100 case). Not sure if the Cooler master fans can be changed, where as i think Lian Li sit at 1000rpm or so, but for fans that size, the air intake is massive and shouldn’t be loud.

Looks like a great build from Ash. The two monitors I normally recommend are the MSI optix G241 and the AOC 24G2U for that price point. Both £200. The one @SpyderTracks mentioned is also a great monitor and is curved for that extra immersive experience!

What case were you thinking of? Is there any reason you don’t want the case @Ash_ has suggested? It’s a great case for the money, especially at the price PCS has it for and it’ll provide all the cooling you need. If you want a different case the TD500 mesh is a good case for £15 or so more. Then the Lian Li LANCOOL mesh is a decent case, although I’d recommend adding a few case fans as it only includes 2 as standard.

There also seems to be a number of changes to that build from what Ash suggested (namely the GPU and SSD). I’d simply make changes to the link that Ash provided at the bottom if you’d like to change the case.

to be honest with you the reason i want a different case is that my younger son has autism and sensory difficulties with vision and he will be staring at them two massive fans all the time, so i was thinking about something less colorful, but not plain black.
i know it might sound strange for you but it might be a massive issue for us later on.

The 3600 is the only cpu i’d recommend, that doesn’t need more than stock cooler. The Lian Li Lancool 215 has fantastic cooling. If you don’t like the look or whatever, as long as you go for a more expensive case, the current line up - you shouldn’t run into issues.

There is no case cheaper than the 215 i’d recommend, they would either be poor choice or... you’d need to add extra fans and it’d be a cheap case being made more expensive. Pcs really do get a ridiculous discount on these cases. The 4000D airflow (i think is out) would be my next go to choice, you can even source from amazon or so and send it straight to pcs, but you want to add another 2 fans at least.

The Corsair 4000D is your best bet then, although you can turn the lights off on cases.

Edit: i’ve just seen it is show out of stock there too, it is in stock on curry’s though and although their picture shows fans... it does not come with the RGB fans and cooler, just one black front and one black rear fan.
