These are my specs and i'm going to be upgrading to a 3060 TI or a 3060, i heard a 3060 TI would be better for me for gaming and i was just wondering if my power supply would be good enough to handle it?

I'd say the PSU is a bit on the low side, and you'd want at least a 750W in there.

The GPU choice is dependent on what monitor you have, and what it's refresh rate is...along with the games you're playing...so if you could give us the model number, or resolution and refresh rate, we could then say whether the 3060/3060Ti is suitable, or whether an AMD option would be more suitable.

Yeah honestly I'd want 750W as a minimum for a 3060Ti

As for the 3060Ti vs the 3060 it depends on your monitor. The 3060Ti is significantly more powerful but you would need a 1440p monitor to use that power. Essentially if you have a 1080p monitor you'll probably see the same performance, the 3060Ti shines at 1440p over the 3060

yeah right now i just have a normal 1080p monitor so would i be best to go for a 3060? and would the 550 be ok for the 3060? looking to kinda upgrade 1 part at a time instead of going all out getting an expensive graphics card and a good quality power supply

I would honestly recommend moving away from 1080p and just biting the bullet. 1080p is barely supported anymore and will shortly become a dead platform like 720p. It's just old now so we don't recommend it, you'd want a 1440p 144hz IPS monitor to get the most of the 3060Ti. So yeah a GPU, monitor and PSU is probably your next big investments unfortunately

If I was you I'd get the PSU first, then the GPU then the monitor last. Mainly because GPU prices can fluctuate and you may get a good deal on a better GPU that could change which monitor you select. But I'd go with then PSU first and I wouldn't just buy a PSU to support the GPU I'm planning to buy cause that means you'll have to buy another PSU in 3-4 years to support the next GPU upgrade you want

If you want to do it right get a 1000W PSU mate, that will cover you for any GPU upgrade you may need for the lifespan of the whole build. The 5600X is very very good and has many years left under it's belt, I'd anticipate 2 more GPU upgrades at least

alright yeah i've had a look around and i'm going to get myself a 750w power supply and the 3060 TI and then save up a bit of money for a better monitor, thank you all for your help
