What are the driver updates etc I should be looking for when the laptop arrives to make sure everything is up to date from the get go?

You have ordered the OS so PCS will ensure that all drivers are installed correctly.

I would suggest you install the nVidia geforce experience. it is currently in beta and so only has a few games, but the intention is that it will configure your games to run with the optimum settings. It will even explain each of the graphics settings for each game with comparison screenshots. It will also keep your GPU driver up to date, which is the only driver that really needs updating regularly.

Other than that you will be good to go.
It a great machine.

Cool, Is that Steam compatible?

Yep steam works fine the nvidia program will scan folder locations for game executables and works from there.

Yeah, I also would have like a backlight keyboard but couldnt justify the expense for the other models. At the end of the day I rarely look at the keyboard, as long as I can find WASD then I am grand.
