This is what i would get:
Better thermal paste, network card, silver warranty
Dropped the ram down to 8 gigs as that is plenty for gaming and you can easily upgrade later, and exchanged the ssd to one of those fancy samsung sm951 ones with half the capacity and about a million times the speed, if you put your os on there (which is what you should always do with an ssd) it'll be up and running before you even thought about pressing the power button.... Almost. stays close to the budget and honestly i don't think you'll need half a terabyte of ssd storage

It is worth getting a laptop with thunderbolt USB 3.1, thunderbolt 3 and which laptop have thunderbolt 3? I know there has been some intersting talk going on at CEX 2016 about thunderbolt 3.

The only laptop here on pcs that supports thunderbolt (via usb 3.1 type c) is the octane II pro i think, i'm too lazy to check right now, but you can click on a laptop and under specifications there is a list of all ports.
Although you don't really need a thunderbolt port unless you have a lot to do with apple devices. Usb 3 and especially 3.1 are fast enough.

Regarding the Octane:
1500 bucks sounds like a good budget for a gaming laptop! But the 15 and 17 inch octanes are more of a workstation than a gaming laptop.
You get a better bang for your buck with the defiance in terms of gaming. Why do you need a powerful processor?
Unless you plan to do some heavy video editing and/or 3d rendering both of the defiance cpu's are more than a good option.
Still recommending the spec i posted above, although you could change the storage amounts if you don't need that much or up the cpu to the i7-6820hk (a beast of a mobile processor imo)
In my opinion you won't get more gaming performance per dollar in a laptop.
Ask ahead if you want to know anything else!
Cheers.

Should I go with Defiance II 15.6 or Defiance II 17.3 i cannot make a decision . Which one is better value of money?

Well, its not really which is better value for money, it's which is more suited to your needs :)
If you're going to be using the laptop screen to game on (rather than connecting to another screen) then I'd say the 17.3" just cos its bigger and it'll mean its easier to see stuff on a bigger screen :).
Though obviously a bigger screen means its heavier so if you're wanting mobility then the 15.6 may be preferable.

Though I've just noticed your initial question, and the answer is you will get a better machine if you go for a desktop over a laptop for the same price - though this does depend on your circumstances - does it need to be portable, do you have space for a desktop and monitor etc.

Just ignore my first qustion. I need a laptop because I want it to be mobile and able to take it with me on holiday and visiting people. I will use the laptop screen to play games. I used to playing games on 15.6 inch laptop for a long time, but some games and films i find it the screen was too small. I never did have a 17.3 inch laptop so that i would not know what the advantage and disadvantage is.

The advantage is screen size but also hard drive space, more space for 2.5" drives.

I will go Defiance II 15.6 inch because it is more mobile than the 17.3 inch one. Using this set up and I going with the I7 6700HQ because I think the i7 6820HK is not necessary to play games in high setting.

No need for the overkill SSD, a cheaper brand one would be better value, plus that way you could get 16GB of RAM which some games are slowly starting to need on highest settings or when modding games etc

Yup that ssd is definitely not the best bang/buck solution but it still has a good value, i don't think it's overpriced at all.
It's just great to see your loading and boot times rocketing through the roof and it's very comfortable to use.

16 gigs of ram on the other hand are straight up unnecessary under the assumption that it's for gaming only and not having something rendering in the background while gaming.
And when you have a game modded so far it needs 16 gigs of vram then the cpu most likely won't be able to hold up anymore, of course this depends on what games you play and what kind of mods you use.
Also: ram is on of the easiest things to upgrade later on, no need to get it now.

That specs looks decent, the only thing i would've thrown in there is the killer network card for the better drivers, more stable ping and so on. Although you only really notice the difference in competative online games like cs:go where a good connection is valueable. If you're not into that kind of games you're good to go.

Do I really need killer 1535-AC network card to play online games like WOW and what about the other 2 wireless card is there a big different between the 3?
