This is my first extreme laptop as I have always used a desktop but now have to save space (family etc)

it is primarily for work using photshop, cinema 4d, dreamweaver etc but I will of course be hoping to get a cheeky game or 2 on BF3 lol

I'd get at least silver warranty for £5 (I am very risk averse so I probably go with gold if possible ) to increase the the collection.delivery cost in case there is a fault from 1 month to 1 year, also to get the 500gb WD scorpio black as opposed to the unbranded secondary HDD.

Thanks for the advice. Ok so no I have a lot of thinking to do lol. Is the AMD® Radeon® HD 7970M - 2GB DDR5 Video RAM - DX 11 worth the difference.

You mean is 7970m worth the upgrade over 675m? Well see for yourself here. It is a good choice for gamers on a budget as it'll run most games a lil better than 675m. But Nvidia seems to favour programmers and have better driver support. 7970m's drivers still need time to mature.

OK I admit I just could not take it. I phoned PCS at bang on 9am today and fast tracked it. Yeah baby laptop on Saturday. Crikey I'm feeling mildly aroused is this normal.

Ok so i couldnt get it for Saturday in the end (small tear). It will be here before 10am on Tuesday this week. I was sooo gutted when I found out but to be fair I have a really busy weekend and had all day Friday helping out at tthe Olympic Torch celebrations in Guildford (it was Epic btw).

I dont know how I will manage another 2 days Its doing me in. I have spent time buying things in the steam sale and geting my college bits ready to go but I swear the clock is running at half sped.

Thanks again to everyone who has given me advice I really appreciate the suggestions as well as the fact you all give an explanation as to why. As soon as it arrives I will be posting a full review with pics and video.

OK so today I'm a bit gutted. After expecting to get a dispatch notice today I have found out that I will not in fact receive it till Next Tuesday/Wednesday.
