New mid/high gaming PC

Hi all,
Current PC is about 4 years old so time for a new one. Did have a budget of about £1k but gone slightly over with this spec as want a new monitor as well.

Do you think this is a good deal for a mid to high gaming PC? The PC is for surfing, music and gaming only. Will be running new games (Dues Ex, Skyrim etc and some MMOs such as Rift).

Feedback and tweaks appreciated !

If you can stretch your budget a little more i would go for the spec below which has a better GPU that will perform better for longer on your games, if you can't go as high as the spec below then drop the CPU down to an i5 2500 as there is not a massive difference between the 2 for gaming and you will also notice i have only put 4GB Ram into the spec as this is plenty for gaming (if you need more in a year or so it will be much easier and cheaper to upgrade the ram than the CPU/GPU)
