New Monitor & Keyboard/Mouse advice after Ordering New PC fro PCS

Hi after ordering my new PC after a few tweaks from some great advice on here https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/saved-configurations/amd-am4-gen3-pc/2kY8aB9SCw/

I need recommendations on a 1440 Monitor...and a Keyboard & Mouse ...NO video editing or Music & Photoshop lol...I'm also not a avid gamer but will dabble in the likes of COD FIFA and F1 and be future proof for new games coming out... so not sure about all these fancy gaming keyboards with flashing lights etc.. a good Keyboard & Mouse for Home Office and a bit of Gaming will be fine BUT there is so much choice.. I did look at Razer and Corsair and Hyper? at Currys the other day but still unsure as they seem a bit bulky.. Monitors on display were just 1080 so nothing to compare... many thanks for any input...

That's annoying, and I had the same experience a while ago when shopping for a monitor upgrade.

The store I went to browse monitors at did have a 240hz monitor on display. Showing a looped 30fps trailer / video :/ :/ :/ For real.

What sort of budget do you have for the peripherals? If it's flexible, maybe suggest a range or ballpark.

As for Keyboard and Mouse, do you have any preference over manufacturers / switch types ie mechanical, normal, brown, red etc?

Thats great for Monitors but do I need G Sync compatible with having a Super 2070 video card?... Keyboard & Mouse wise not bothered although some of the Mechanical ones looked chunky apart from a Razer one which felt more normal...Wife wants theses super slim white ones that are tiny to match her Dining Room ha ha

Lols, bless the wife. There are some beautiful new hybrid slimline/gaming keyboards hitting the market now, but worth reading reviews to see if it meets your criteria:

Regarding Mouse Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum (roughly £50 most places):



Nvidia cards will now support both Freesync and Gsync monitors. When they say GSync compatible, it just means that monitor has actually been certified by nVidia to run with an nvidia card, but really, any freesync monitor will work just fine with nVidia cards, especially these ones made in the last 6 months or so since gsync compatible hit the market. It's clever nvidia marketing, putting their logo on the box instead of AMD's freesync.

The links were by me and it's actually just for one monitor, but linked to the actual manufacturers site and then to a place I found it at a good price. If you buy it from PCWorld / Curry's, I would suggest buying over the internet and get it delivered. If you do it that way you have 14 days to return it no questions asked, whereas if you buy it in the shop it has to have a defect for you to be able to return it.

Really, nVidia are trying to make buyers think that you have to buy GSync compatible or Gsync as they get a larger slice of the pie. To make something GSync compatible, you have to pay a rather hefty licensing cost to NVidia. Buying normal Freesync means they miss out entirely and AMD get the payments. It's shady marketting at best.

Ye that Monitor is looking good for me ...apologies for mistaken identity mate and many thanks for your input...as I said in my original Desktop Post ...it was because of this active and very helpful Forum that I bought from PCS and not from CyberP****r again a few years ago, as the forum on there seems dead now lol
